Kate Moss is in the new Spring/Summer 2008 ad campaign for French luxury brand Longchamp.

The supermodel teamed up with photographer Mario Sorrenti for the New York-set shoots. Kate can be seen posing in front of the Brooklyn Bridge and in front of the Manhattan skyline toting a selection of oversized bags.

Here’s how the campaign has been characterized by Longchamp:

“Opposite Brooklyn Bridge or at the very top of a South Manhattan tower the imagery is evokes an eighties spirit full of femininity, energy and fun.”

Supermodel Kate Moss is planning to “party all week” to celebrate her birthday.

Kate, who turns 34 tomorrow (January 16, 2008) will spend her birthday with her friends in London, and then continue celebrating during the week.

A source said: “On her birthday itself Kate is meeting friends at The Dorchester Hotel then going for a big night on the town at one of London’s leading nightclubs.

But there’s no way she’s going to finish there. The next day she’s celebrating at her friend Davinia Taylor‘s house in St. John’s Wood, where she’s been staying for the past eight months.

Then it’s going to be on to her country pile in the Cotswolds. She’s asked her boyfriend Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart, the lead singer of his band The Kills to entertain guests.”

Kate is reportedly eager to impress guests with her own “rock chick” credentials.

The source added to Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “She wants to re-establish herself as a would-be singer and rock chick by joining in the same way she used to get on stage with old boyfriend Pete Doherty.

She is also considering inviting some of the locals from the village for afternoon tea and cakes and a happy birthday sing-song over the weekend.” [Source]

Kate Moss is no longer on top of the list of Britain’s best dressed women. She topped the list in 2004, and was placed second and third in the following years, but now ranks a lowly 10th in the eyes of fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar.

And to add insult to injury, she is deemed less fashionable than the two models who succeeded her in the affections of former partners Pete Doherty and Jefferson Hack.

Doherty‘s ex, Romanian Irina Lazareanu, is at number nine while Hack‘s girlfriend, Anouck Lepere, is eighth.

The most stylish woman of 2007 is Russian model Natalia Vodianova, according to Harper‘s.

Second is actress Thandie Newton, followed by model of the moment Agyness Deyn. [Source]
