Agyness Deyn gets the whole May 2008 issue of i-D magazine devoted to her

British fashion magazine i-D has devoted its entire May 2008 issue (with six different covers) to Agyness Deyn, calling her the “new face of Britain”.
With her elfin white blonde hair, endless legs and knife-like cheekbones, she’s the hottest new girl on the block.
Hailed as a modern-day Kate Moss, at 5ft 9in she’s two inches taller, nine years younger… and way cooler.
Demand for her is huge. Agyness is the multi-million-pound face – and body – of Mulberry and Burberry and a Vogue cover girl.
Even if she’s the biggest model of the moment right now, Agyness insists she leads a (more or less) regular life. Here’s what she said about her size and food preferences:
“I’m no size-zero. I still eat fish and chips. And pizza. It’s my favourite food and they do the best ones in New York. “People think models starve themselves but not me. I eat really normally.
I think it’s important to be healthy, and for that you are allowed a little bit of everything. If you eat too much you put on weight, if you have a happy medium you stay the same. Every thing in moderation, Especially pizza!
I work out, not avidly, I don’t work out every day. I do yoga, I’ve just started and I love it.” Indeed. Her perfect skin belies the fact that she loves to party – nightclubbing with celebrity chums Lily Allen and Kelly Osbourne.

Monika Jagaciak pictures in Jalouse magazine May 2008

14-year-old Polish model Monika Jagaciak was banned from the catwalk at Australian Fashion Week amid continuing controversy over the sexualisation of young girls in the fashion industry.
A photo-shoot of Monika Jagaciak by Australian Vogue was also called off after the editor said she had not realised the Polish teenager’s age.
Organisers of Australian Fashion Week in Sydney banned all under-16s from the catwalk after furious public debate over the use of youngsters in an industry already under fire over anorexia and drug use.
It follows a similar decision ahead of London Fashion Week last September and brings the Australian event into line with shows in other leading cities. [Daily Mail]

Yesterday I showed you Gisele Bundchen’s pictures from the March/April 2008 edition of V magazine, now here’s Kate Moss in the same issue of V. Her beautiful editorial is entitled “Wildflowers” and was shot by photographer Nick Knight.

The beautiful Gisele Bundchen was photographed by Alasdair McLellan for the #52 (March/April 2008) issue of V magazine.
Kim Jones has flaunted his outrageous collection of ’80s vintage in our pages before (most notably in a collaboration with photographer Alasdair McLellan for VMAN7). But in V52, supermodel Gisele Bündchen takes a seat in front of the camera, wearing the not-so-latest but definitely the greatest from labels like Rachel Auburn, Leigh Bowery, and Andre Walker. The shooter is once again McLellan, who we believe has captured the beautiful Brazilian looking more neon and electric than ever. In fact, she positively glows. Spring is strewn with surprises born of the lovers, clowns and tricksters of the commedia dell’arte. Ruffs, puffs and harlequin patterns are all made for centre stage.
Although the makeup fits the photoshoot‘s theme well, I think Gemma looks quite scary and menacing in these pictures!
